System Servicing

An annual health check keeps your solar producing what it should, and catches the small problems before they become expensive ones.

Solar systems are remarkably reliable, but they're not "install and forget." Inverters develop faults, monitoring drops out, breakers trip, panels get hot spots, batteries age. A yearly service catches the issues that quietly cost you money — and keeps your warranty paperwork in order.

What's included in a service

All systems we service receive the same thorough check

Full performance review

We pull the monitoring data, compare it to expected generation for your system size and location, and identify any underperforming strings or panels. If you don't have monitoring set up, we'll get it working.

Inverter health check

Visual inspection, fan condition, internal temperatures, error logs, firmware status. Inverters typically need replacing at 10–15 years — we'll tell you honestly where yours is at.

DC + AC isolators

Rooftop isolators are a known fire risk in Australian solar systems. We inspect each one for water ingress, contact damage, and corrosion — and replace any that don't pass.

Panel inspection

Visual check for cracks, hot spots, delamination, frame corrosion, soiling. Thermal imaging on request when we suspect cell-level issues.

Battery service

State-of-health check, cycle count, firmware update, BMS log review. For off-grid banks, balance check and capacity test.

Written report

You get a written report covering what we tested, what we found, what we fixed, and any recommended follow-up work — handy for warranty claims down the track.

Annual service for residential systems

Every twelve months is the sweet spot for a residential solar system — whether you've got a battery or not. Often enough to catch the issues that matter, not so often that it becomes a cost burden.

Off-grid systems live a harder life — we recommend a six-monthly check for properties that depend entirely on their solar, especially before the shoulder seasons (March and September) when generator backup is more likely to be tested.
